{"id":1755,"date":"2012-01-25T15:09:07","date_gmt":"2012-01-25T15:09:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/womenrunningtheworld.com\/beginners\/?p=1755"},"modified":"2017-02-05T15:09:36","modified_gmt":"2017-02-05T15:09:36","slug":"beginner-running-group-25-january-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/womenrunningtheworld.com\/beginners\/2012\/01\/25\/beginner-running-group-25-january-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Beginner Running Group 25 January 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Runners,<\/p>\n<div>This week we are doing an 80 minute long run on Thursday. \u00a0The route will be a loop through Regents Park, down Regent St., along Piccadilly, then into Hyde Park, up Seymour\/Lisson back to Starbucks. \u00a0I am in the US so won&#8217;t be joining you, but your other coaches will take good care of you!<\/div>\n<div>The last couple of miles of this route are on a slight uphill incline so you may\u00a0find this run more difficult than last week&#8217;s run. \u00a0If it feels harder, don&#8217;t be disheartened &#8211; hang in there. \u00a0If you have to slow your pace &#8211; do that. \u00a0Try not to walk; just slow your pace down to a very slow jog. \u00a0It is convenient to do a loop to and from St. John&#8217;s Wood from time to time, but that usually means running on an incline. \u00a0From SJW, everything generally slopes down to the river so if you run south, it&#8217;s uphill coming home. \u00a0If you run north, you have to run uphill to start then downhill to finish. \u00a0Let&#8217;s see how this goes.<\/div>\n<div>The following week we are up to 90 minutes of running and the route will not be a loop (so it will be slightly downhill and\/or flat). \u00a0It will feel easy like last week&#8217;s run, so we all have that to look forward to!!! \u00a0I&#8217;ll be sending out another email this weekend giving you a lot more information about our training in the upcoming weeks, some suggestions for your Tuesday and weekend runs, as well as specific information about how the 90 minute, gel-fueled run will work.<\/div>\n<div>I&#8217;ll miss you all, but I must admit this warm and sunny Texas weather isn&#8217;t bad!<\/div>\n<div>xo,<\/div>\n<div>Paula<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Runners, This week we are doing an 80 minute long run on Thursday. \u00a0The route will be a loop through Regents Park, down Regent St., along Piccadilly, then into Hyde Park, up Seymour\/Lisson back to Starbucks. \u00a0I am in the US so won&#8217;t be joining you, but your other coaches will take good care &hellip;
