{"id":1643,"date":"2016-04-26T16:03:10","date_gmt":"2016-04-26T16:03:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/womenrunningtheworld.com\/beginners\/?p=1643"},"modified":"2016-09-04T16:03:59","modified_gmt":"2016-09-04T16:03:59","slug":"ex-beginners-week-1-26-april-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/womenrunningtheworld.com\/beginners\/2016\/04\/26\/ex-beginners-week-1-26-april-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Ex-Beginners Week 1:  26 April 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello everyone!<br \/>\nFirst, on behalf of all of the coaches, I want to thank ALL of you for a wonderful year. \u00a0It has been so incredible to watch you progress from 1 minute of running to 11+ miles. \u00a0We are so proud of what you have accomplished, and we are so impressed with the bond you have created. \u00a0We have enjoyed teaching you and learning from you and we can\u2019t wait to run with you side-by-side in the days ahead.<\/p>\n<p>For those of you in Nice, thank you for your hilarious song and moving tribute. \u00a0Jodi &#8211; I heard several people say that any future beginner groups were in big trouble trying to follow in your footsteps. \u00a0You guys made our race experience so special. \u00a0I know not everyone had a great race, but I know we all had a great time being together and meeting new friends as well. \u00a0You are an amazing group of women that we are so honored to have coached.<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t need to have run the race to now be an ex-beginner. \u00a0You have all done the training and you are all ready to move up to the big leagues &#8211; the scary MWF group. \u00a0Hopefully you all received Jane\u2019s email this morning with the routes for the week. \u00a0Tomorrow\u2019s run is an easy 4 miles to Whole Foods in Kensington. \u00a0It\u2019s just running down to Hyde Park, across, and through to Kensington High Street. \u00a0We passed the Whole Foods on the way to Kew &#8211; easy peasy. \u00a0And we won\u2019t be pushing any pace tomorrow. \u00a0Most of us coaches will be there tomorrow and we will be happy to guide you to others who run a similar pace, or run with you, or whatever! \u00a0You can also come and run with each other. \u00a0This run is just about getting back out there, saying hi, and getting some shopping done.<\/p>\n<p>Friday, I am happy to run with whoever wants to up the hill. \u00a0It looks scary, it\u2019s not super fun going up, but you get there and you\u2019re psyched! \u00a0And then you get to go into the beautiful Heath. So please come out.<\/p>\n<p>And let us know if you have any questions about the pace groups, routes, or anything else &#8211; not only this week but going forward. \u00a0We are here for you! \u00a0(and we accept hugs, Gisele\u2026)<\/p>\n<p>I know we are planning an outing to see Jodi speak on 8 May (she is also speaking on 29 May and 5 June if you can\u2019t go 8 May). \u00a0And Swati and Vijaya still have their big race to come, also on 8 May. \u00a0But for now, you guys are officially DONE as beginners. \u00a0We love you all and are so excited to see you out with everyone else.<\/p>\n<p>Amy, Meg, Vicky, Stacey and Lesley<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello everyone!
